Méthode Champeniose Journey

  • 1971

    Rob Stuart has his first taste of champagne – a 1961 Bollinger – at age 17.

  • 1980

    Rob moves to Oregon and crafts his first 25 cases of Brut from Layne Vineyards in Jacksonville, OR.

  • 1984

    Rob moves to Staton Hills and crafts Washington State Staton Hills Brut Rosé and Brut. He also works on his own Oregon project from Talent, OR, called La Montagne A Versant Gris – an homage to the Siskiyou mountains which inspired Rob to make sparkling wine in Southern Oregon.

  • 1994

    Rob moves to Erath Winery and continues to craft LMVG sparkling wine.

  • 1999

    Rob begins crafting NV Rosé d’Or, Brut under the R. Stuart & Co. Winery name.

  • 2001

    Rob ends the LMVG project and continues to develop NV Rosé d’Or.

  • 2004

    The first iteration of NV Rosé d’Or, Brut is released.

  • 2012

    Our sparkling family grows with the release of NV Bubbly Blanc de Blanc.

  • 2023

    Bubbly gets a companion with the release of NV Bubbly Rosé.

  • 2025

    Our newest sparkling project – a companion to NV Rosé d’Or – is put to rest for an extended tirage aging. Stay tuned!

  • 2026

    R. Stuart & Co. joins Method Oregon as a founding member.
